Build your authentic pull
A small group intensive for women who need to move something important forward—and would rather do almost anything than have to sell it.
10 FOUNDING SEATS: LAUNCH COHORT BEGINS JUNE 16, 2026
Feel like opportunities are drifting away when they should be getting closer?
My success requires me to get people excited about ____________ (my company, idea, self, product, mission).
The idea of making an ask of someone makes me want to ______________ (vomit, go back to bed, cry, switch jobs, break out in hives, quit)
Instead of sending the email or picking up the phone to move what I need forward, I __________ (update my deck, do more research, spend my time scrolling, take more meetings, double check my spreadsheet)
I feel like I’m getting the traction I need ____________ (sometimes, not nearly enough, never, hard pass)
Humor us, and fill in the blanks:
We feel you, and you’re not alone.
This isn't really about sales. It's about the ask.
The ask is what separates the people who move things forward from the people who keep meaning to. It's the email you've been drafting for three weeks. The call you keep rescheduling. The conversation you'd give anything to skip.
You already have what you need to drive momentum. You just haven't been activating it the right way.
You will get there.
Here’s the Good News.
Gravitational pull isn't a personality trait.
It's a set of learnable moves—and we've built the framework.
The issue isn't what you have. It's how you're activating it.
You already possess the most important parts:
The relationships
The credibility
The story
The passion
Getting to gravitational pull is the result of reframing how you approach opportunities—from convincing people to offering them something you know is valuable.
That shift, and the strategic behaviors that follow, is what creates pull. And it's completely learnable.
We know. We’ve spent the past decade riding the roller coaster, figuring out how to take something we care about and turning it into tangible results.
We know what creates pull and how to eliminate drag. We've turned our shared experiences into a method that works.
You have the assets and authenticity.
We help you align them and put them in motion.
What The Gravimental Method Is
The Gravimental Method is an 8-week, small-group strategy intensive that helps you build confidence and turn your authentic assets and resources into tangible outcomes—without pressure, performance, or pretending to be someone you're not.
Whether you're booking a meeting, signing a customer, landing a partnership, or going for the job, the work is the same: making the ask, and making it land.
We help you show up in a way that is genuinely yours, and generates the pull you need to get where you're going.
Guided by two experts who know first-hand how to stop avoiding and start making the asks that move things forward.
The Program Framework
Mindset
The cognitive shift from push to pull, plus reconnection to the value you offer.
Method
A clear, structured framework and actual moves for putting pull into practice. Built from real-world experience, not theory.
Momentum
Space to build the habits and sustainable success through accountability and support from a community of peers in the same orbit.
What Changes in 8 Weeks:
01
Be clear on the value of what you offer
02
Know how to position things in a way that feels like an opportunity, not an ask
03
Be confident enough to stop avoiding and start moving things forward
Why Now?
Caring deeply about what you're doing isn't the same thing as getting people to say yes to it.
And the world isn't making this easier. The old playbook is broken. AI is accelerating everything—and making real human trust harder to build and faster to lose.
In this environment, the only thing that actually cuts through is being unmistakably, specifically you.
That's not a soft skill. It's the skill.
And the timing matters more than it used to.
The Co-Pilots
We’re visionaries, founders, operators, deal-makers, and kind people. We’ve both been in the room where the stakes are real.
We’ve spent a collective 40+ years getting our asses kicked and kicking ass.
Each of us has made thousands of asks - big and small - and turned what we’ve discovered about how to move things forward by trial, error into a learnable system.
The common thread in our life’s work has been helping people find momentum and belonging.
Amy VanHaren
Mainer, mother, Enneagram 7 who started in journalism and turned a boob-covered bus into a cross-country movement for moms that landed in the September issue of Vogue.I've spent 25 years building brands, businesses, and communities, working with companies like Patagonia and Amy's Kitchen and building things from scratch when no one else would. The work I'm proudest of started as a personal problem. I was a new mother trying to keep working, couldn't find the support I needed, and built it. Pumpspotting grew into a community of more than 100,000 parents, raised over $4 million, and got recognized by Forbes, Vogue, and Fast Company.
Along the way I discovered something I didn't expect. What moved people wasn't the pitch deck or the press hits. It was connection. I've closed investors, pitched on reality TV, navigated an exit, and rallied a community of mothers by driving a 40-foot RV across the country to meet them where they were. None of it worked because I performed it well. It worked because I showed up as exactly who I am, and trusted the right people would lean in.
I’ve turned my hard-learned skills around rallying people behind a project and mission into this framework. I’m honored to help reduce the anxiety around the “ask” and to help more women generate their own gravitational pull.
Derek Wallace
Food-lover, baseball fan, father who started in flooring sales and built a media company bid on by the biggest leaders in television from Apple to Netflix.I spent 17 years corporate laddering in an environment that was kryptonite to the things I cared about most. I left when staying stagnant became scarier than the unknown. What came next was building something I genuinely cared about: a kids and family media property, a nonprofit organization, and a mission profiled by CBS This Morning, The Today Show, Forbes, and the New York Times.
The work I've done since has been mostly alongside women building things that matter —founders, executives, leaders—helping them turn vision into traction.
What I learned is this: almost everyone has ideas, and many people have a vision. Moving them forward rarely happens because someone got lucky or went viral. Success happens when you create the mechanisms that turn vision into action — and operate in a way that makes people want to join your journey.
That shift — from having something you believe in to getting other people excited about it — is what this program is built around. I've spent years helping founders and executives navigate it. This is our chance to share it with more people who need it.
Program Structure

What We Cover Together
8 weeks. Three phases. Each one builds on the last.
PHASE ONE
Weeks 1-3
MINDSET: Assess your gravitational field
CONFIDENCE AND CLARITY
Before you can generate pull, you need to know exactly what you're generating it around—and own it without apology. We start with deep discovery: where you're going, why it matters, and how it maps back to you as the person driving it.
Get clear on the outcome you're building toward and become the kind of person who believes in it fully
Body language, language, and mindset: shifting from selling to offering an opportunity
Audit your assets—relationships, reputation, network, story, resources—everything working for you
Identify and name your biggest obstacles (and personal kryptonite)
Trust scoring: map your key relationships, understand where you are with each person, and identify the most strategic next moves
Identify drag and orbital decay: what are you giving energy to that's generating no pull, or actively creating resistance?
PHASE TWO
Weeks 4-5
METHOD: Activate Your Pull
STRATEGY AND MOTION
With clarity as your foundation, we get strategic. This is where you fine tune your roadmap and start putting it in motion.
Build your strategic matrix: who has the most influence over your outcome, and how do you prioritize your energy?
How to show up on publicly, on LinkedIn in a way that actually works for you
Navigating objections and repositioning your perceived weaknesses as strengths
Cultivating relationships with intentionality rather than hoping for momentum
Practicing real conversations until they feel like yours
PHASE THREE
Weeks 6-7
MOMENTUM: Sustain the Progress
STAYING IN MOTION
Getting traction is one thing. Keeping it when life happens—when you get derailed, when the environment shifts, when good news almost takes you under—is another.
How to maintain equilibrium when external inputs throw you off
Adapting and iterating without losing your footing
Getting back to your confident zone when something pulls you out of it
Building the habits that keep your gravitational pull working even when you're not thinking about it
Practice and accountability - doing the work in real time + coming back to the cohort to refine (and celebrate!)
Reflecting on what you learned to take it with you and keep it in practice long-term
RESOURCES
Throughout
TOOLKITS: Start with Our System
Built for action, not reading. Tied to that week's work. You'll use them during the program and return to them long after.
Examples include:
The Trust Capital Assessment - A tier-based model to evaluate the depth of your key relationships, so you stop overestimating weak connections and start activating the ones with real capital
The Strategic Relationship Matrix - Map who has the most influence over your outcome and how to prioritize your energy
The Asset Audit - Identify everything working for you and what's generating drag. Your superpowers, relationships, reputation, products, network, story.
The Conversation Practice Toolkit - Scripts, frameworks, and real-scenario practice so your asks feel natural, not rehearsed
From the People We’ve Worked With
Meet Michelle
Michelle was a mission-driven founder building support for parents raising neurodivergent kids. When she came to us, she was sitting on partnership conversations with employers—the exact conversations that would move her company forward—and avoiding them. She'd lost confidence in her own story.
Within a month, she was re-energized on her value, clear on the opportunity she was actually offering, and closed her first deal in her first sales conversation.
Nothing about Michelle changed. What changed was how she was showing up, and what she understood she was offering.
“Working with Derek means walking away with more clarity and confidence than you came in with. He has a natural talent for strategic thinking and an even greater talent for helping others find it in themselves. His approach to mindset and strategy is practical, grounding, and genuinely motivating.”

Who This is For
This is built for women who've earned their place in the room and now need to build the momentum to move what matters. Without performing. Without avoiding. Without becoming someone you're not.
You're a founder building something you believe in, and you'd rather rewrite the deck for the fourth time than send the email asking for the meeting.
You're a senior leader inside an organization working on something visible—a promotion, a board seat, a strategic initiative, a platform you've been quietly building—and you know you need to be louder about it than you've been.
You're a consultant, advisor, or solo operator who needs a steady pipeline of right-fit clients, and the LinkedIn-influencer playbook makes you want to log off forever.
You're a nonprofit or mission-driven leader who is brilliant about the work and uncomfortable asking for the money, the partnership, or the press the work deserves.
You're in transition—looking for the next role, exploring a pivot, building visibility before you've fully named what you're building toward—and the part where you put yourself out there is the part you keep putting off.
The need to ask—and the ways we struggle to do it—are what tie us together. Your work matters. The forward movement it needs matters. It's how the company gets funded to make an impact. How the role that aligns with your purpose gets won. How the abundance you’ve been building toward shows up.
The world needs your gravitational pull. We're here to help one another amplify it.
Your Questions, Answered
-
This program is built for those who have clarity on what they're building and where they're going—but are hitting a wall on conversion. If you're still figuring out your direction, this isn't the right fit yet.
-
If you need people to say yes to something—partnership, investment, a promotion, a donation, a collaboration—this applies to you. The transaction might look different. The pull mechanics are the same.
-
Absolutely. If you're trying to get something significant done inside an organization — leading a culture shift, proposing a bold strategy, launching a new program, getting buy-in for a major initiative — you need the same gravitational pull that entrepreneurs need when raising capital or closing deals.
The mechanics are identical: you need people to say yes to something that requires them to take a risk, shift resources, or change direction. Whether you're pitching a board, an executive team, or internal stakeholders, the ability to reframe how you show up — from convincing to inviting, from asking for permission to offering an opportunity — is what creates momentum.
This program is for anyone who needs people to move, not just think about moving.
-
Sessions are recorded. But the live experience—the hot seats, the real-time practice, the community—is where the work actually happens. We'd encourage you to protect those days to get the full experience.
The Future You
Here's what's different on the other side of this.
You stop dreading the ask. You stop over-preparing for conversations that should feel natural. You stop second-guessing whether you're coming on too strong or not strong enough.
You start walking into rooms—or onto calls—knowing exactly what you're there to offer and exactly how to create the conditions for people to say yes.
You've sent the messages you've been sitting on
You've had the conversations you've been avoiding
You've moved at least one stalled opportunity to the next stage
You have a strategic map of your most valuable relationships and how to activate them
You have a method that is yours — built around your voice, your assets, and your goals
You trust yourself in the room
The people you need to reach aren't out of reach. They're just waiting to feel the pull.
If you’re ready to put things in motion, this is for you.
The conversations you've been avoiding don't get easier the longer you wait. The opportunities you've been circling don't sit still. The work that matters to you doesn't move forward until you do.
The founding cohort is small by design. If you're driving something forward and you're ready to stop waiting for momentum, this is the room to be in.
